A few months ago I went to this local place that sells vegan food and they had crepes on their menu. One of the options was a lemon creme crepe which sounded delicious! I was ordering lunch at the time and not in the mood for something sweet but the idea has stayed in the back of my mind ever since.
Tomorrow is pretty much my favorite day of the month. It's book club night! I get to host this month and I am serving crepes. I figured this would be the perfect time to try out a lemon creme crepe. So I did what I always do and googled "vegan lemon curd" and came across this recipe at Nom Nom Vegan Noms: http://nomnomvegannoms.com/?p=421
I followed the recipe and it turned out delicious. So far I have spread it on buttered toast (by buttered I mean spread with earth balance), crackers, and straight off the spoon. I am excited to try it on a crepe tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to the Spirit Goat store that sells soaps made with goat's milk? It's a small shop around the corner from Indian Oven. There is a yoga studio/natural foods place next to it called Tanaka Balance. They have a little cafe there that serves raw vegan food. Their menu is limited and pricey though.
